The Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu is considered by many to be the best alternative route to the usual Inca Trail. Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa (Humantay Lagoon)

We start the day by picking you up from your Hotel towards Mollepata where we will have our breakfast. Then, the trip will continue to Soraypampa (the starting point of our walk to the Humantay lagoon) and where we will spend the night in the domes. 

Day 2: Soraypampa - Abra Salkantay - Huayracmachay - Challhuay 

This day we start at 5:00 am. we enjoyed our breakfast and start walking to the highest point of the Trail Salkantay (4620 m). The distance is 7 km. Then we continued our walk for 5km. downhill for the snake trail to get to Huayracmachay, our place for lunch. By Later we will arrive at the top of the rainforest. We will travel 10 km until reach Challhuay our base camp.

Day 3 Challhuay - Lucmabamba - Llactapata 

Around 6:00 am. we have breakfast and then we take the mobility to take to Lucmabamba where we will do the Route of Coffee. Afterwards we continue the walk for approximately 3 hours until arrive to the Arqueologic center of Llaqtapata where we will have an incredible and unique view of the Park Archaeological site of Machu Picchu (2,430 m), Likewise we will pass the night at the Llactapata lodge and located in front of the Maravilla of the world.

Day 4 Llactapata - Hidroelectrica - Aguas Calientes 

The penultimate day, we woke up at 7:00 am to drink a delicious breakfast and begin the descent for 2 hours and half until reaching the Hydroelectric. We will continue until arrive at the town where the guide will take you to the point registration for Machu Picchu tickets and then take it to your accommodation.

We will have the last dinner with all the members of the group and it will be the moment where the plans and details of our visit to Machu Picchu for the next day.

Day 5 Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco 

And our final destination is "Machu Picchu" will be the most appreciated and unforgettable of all our hike. We will discover the "Lost City of the Incas" with the guide for more than two hours.

After the tour we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo. and then board the bus back to Cusco
